Core Beliefs
The following are the core beliefs of Ignite Ministries based on the foundational truths taught in the Bible. All of our teaching and ministry is rooted in and flows out of these Orthodox Biblical Doctrines.
The Bible
We affirm that the Bible, containing the Old and New Testaments, is alone the only infallible, inspired Word of God, and that its authority is ultimate, final, and eternal. It cannot be added to, subtracted from, or superseded in any regard. The Bible is the source of all doctrine, instruction, correction, and reproof. It contains all that is needed for guidance in godliness and practical Christian conduct. (Psalm 19:7-11; II Timothy 3:15-17; II Peter 1:20-21)
The Trinity
There is One God, eternally existent in three persons—Father, Son & Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19; John 1:1-18; I Corinthians 8:6; II Corinthians 13:14)
The Father
God the Father is the creator and sustainer of all things, and He created the universe in love. He created man in His own image for fellowship and called man back to Himself through Christ after the rebellion and fall of man. (Genesis 1:1, John 3:16, 1 Peter 1:3, 1 John 3:1)
The Son
. Jesus Christ is eternally God. He was together with the Father and the Holy Spirit from the beginning, and through Him all things were made. For man’s redemption, He left heaven and became incarnate by the Holy Spirit through the virgin Mary; henceforth, He is forever one Christ with two natures—God and man—in one person. (Genesis 1: 26, Matthew 1:20, Philippians 2:8)
The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is God, the Lord and giver of life, who was active in the
Old Testament and given to the Church in fullness at Pentecost. He empowers the saints for service and witness, cleanses man from the old nature and conforms us to the image of Christ. The indwelling of the Holy Spirit takes place at conversion and gives believers a new-found life. The baptism in the Holy Spirit, subsequent to conversion, releases the fullness of the Spirit and is evidenced by the fruits and
gifts of the Holy Spirit. (Acts 1:8, John 20:22, Matthew 3:11)

Mankind and the Fall
Man was created in the image of God; he sinned, and thereby incurred, not only physical death, but also spiritual death which is separation from God. All human beings are born with a sinful nature and in the case of those who reach moral responsibility, become sinners in thought, word and deed. (Genesis 1:27, 3:6-24; Romans 3:23, 2 Samuel 12:21-23)
Christ's Death, Resurrection and Return
Christ’s vicarious death on the cross paid the penalty for the sins of the whole world, but its benefits are only applicable to those who receive Jesus as their personal Savior. Healing— body, soul, and spirit—and all of God’s provisions for His saints, are provided for in the atonement, but these must be appropriated. God raised Him from the dead bodily; He ascended into Heaven, and He will visibly return in glory according to His promise (Matthew 28:6; Acts 1:9-11; I Thessalonians 4:13-17)
(Romans 5:8-9, Acts 4:12)
(Romans 5:8-9, Acts 4:12)
Salvation and Resurrection
The Word of God declares clearly that salvation is a free gift of God, based on the merits of the death of His Son, and is appropriated by faith. Salvation is affected by personal repentance, belief in the Lord Jesus (justification), and personal acceptance of Him into one’s life as Lord and Savior (regeneration). Jesus Christ is the only way to salvation. There is the balance present of God’s sovereign will that allows men to have the free will to accept His calling for His glory. The new life in Christ includes the privileges of adoption and inheritance in the kingdom of God’s beloved Son. Salvation is an act of free will in response to God’s personal love for mankind Salvation should produce an active lifestyle of loving obedience and service to Jesus Christ our Savior, lest a person should fall away. However, it is hard for a person who tastes the gift of Salvation to turn from God’s grace. In the bodily resurrection of the just & the unjust, in the everlasting blessedness of Christ’s presence with the saved and the everlasting punishment of the unsaved. (Philippians 3:20; Rev 20:11-15; II Corinthians 5:8)
(Romans 6:23; John 1:12-13, John 14:21, Hebrews 10:26, Revelation 22:19)
(Romans 6:23; John 1:12-13, John 14:21, Hebrews 10:26, Revelation 22:19)
The Empowerment of the Holy Spirit
The Spirit-filled Christian life is possible only for those who continually yield their lives to the power and control of the indwelling Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit offers power to believers to achieve His will in witnessing and miracles and to do great works through Him. (Ephesians 5:18; John 10:10, Acts 1:8, Mark 16:15-18)
Communion
The Lord’s Supper is to be entered into by all believers after solemn self-examination and repentance for any known sin. It is a symbolic act of obedience where members of the church memorialize the death of Christ. (Matthew 26:26-29; I Corinthians 11:23-29, Mark 14:22-26)

Baptism
The ordinance of Baptism by immersion in water is the biblical pattern and an act of obedience that is symbolic of the believer’s faith in a crucified, buried and risen Savior. (Matthew 28:19; Mark 16:16; Romans 6:4)
Giving
Giving is a form of worship, blessing God that you may be blessed. “Brings the whole tithe into the storehouse that there may be food in my house. Test me in this…and see if I will not open the floodgates of heaven & pour out my blessings..” (Malachi 3:10)
